Export Data

In data analyzer you have different options to export data from your table. With the export options all data in the table at the time of the export are exported.

To start the export of your table's data, choose (Export) in the data analyzer toolbar and select one of the export options:
  • Export Excel...

  • Export PDF...

  • Export CSV...

You find the export files in the download area of your local PC.

Export Data as Microsoft Exel File

In the Export Data as Microsoft Excel File dialog you can overwrite the proposed name of your export file (data source name as default) and select Expand Hierarchy to expand all the hierarchies (if any available in the data source) for the export. Note the following when exporting data as Excel file:
  • The table is exported as you see it in the resultset (with the exception being the hierarchy – if you choose the setting Expand Hierarchy)

  • Formatting (not styling) is included by default in the export. Number formatting that is also exported includes scaling, units and currencies that were defined in data analyzer.

  • Currency/Units are exported as represented in the table (Cells, Row, Column) and you can perform calculations in the exported Excel file and click in the cell to see the raw data value. You can also sort and filter in the Excel file.

  • If your table has a hierarchy, all the nodes of the hierarchy will be exported, even if you have not drilled down on the data in your table.

  • Hierarchies are indented and exported as seen in the table (unless you choose Expand Hierarchy)

  • Repetitive Member Names are not exported unless you choose to show Repetitive Member Names (by using the table's context menu Start of the navigation pathTable Functions Next navigation step  Show/Hide Next navigation step Repetitive Member NamesEnd of the navigation path.
