Keyboard Shortcut List for Tables

Many key combinations (shortcuts) are similar to the ones used in other programs, but not all of them.

In addition to the shortcuts, you can also select ranges (using the Shift key) or select specific values (using the Ctrl or Command key).

On Windows, use the Ctrl key and on Mac use the Command key.

Use Shortcuts to Navigate the Table Cells

The following shortcuts can be used to move around inside a table, including moving between cells as well as expanding and collapsing rows.

Move one cell: up, down, right, and left.	Use the arrow keys or the following options. Up one cell: `Shift` + `Enter` ( `Shift` + `Return` ) Down one cell: `Enter`(`Return`) Right one cell: `Tab` When you are in the last cell, `Tab` takes you to the first cell in the next row. Left one cell: `Shift` + `Tab` When you are in the first cell, `Shift` + `Tab` takes you to the last cell in the previous row.
Move to the beginning of the row.	`Home`
Move to the beginning of the sheet.	`Ctrl` + `Home` `Command` + `Home`
Move down one screen.	`Page Down`
Move up one screen.	`Page Up`
Move right (page right) one screen at a time.	`Alt` + `Page Down` `Opt` + `fn` + `down arrow`
Move left (page left) one screen at a time.	`Alt` + `Page Up` `Opt` + `fn` + `up arrow`
Move to the end of the row.	`Alt` + `End` `Command` + `down arrow`
Move to the beginning of the row.	`Alt` + `Home` `Command` + `up arrow`
Expand a hierarchy.	Use one of the following options to expand the hierarchy: Plus (`+`) `Alt`(`Option`) + down arrow key `F4`
Collapse a hierarchy.	Use one of the following options to collapse the hierarchy: Minus (`-`) `Alt`(`Option`) + up arrow key `F4`
Trigger a hyperlink in a table cell.	`Space`

The following shortcuts can be used to change or update data in table cells (copy, paste, underline, and so on).

Complete cell entry and move down in the selection (cell below)	`Enter` `Return`

You can use the Planning Panel keyboard shortcuts along with the table shortcuts to quickly enter and move values.

Open Planning Panel	`Ctrl` + `Alt` + `D` `Control` + `Option` + `D` You can also enter `?` in a cell, either on its own or followed by a value (`?100` or `?+10%`, for example) to open the Planning Panel.
