Story Details
There are some options that can be set for the entire story.
Translation: You can create a request to have a translation service translate the story descriptions. For more information on story translation, see Enabling a Story for Translation.
View Time Optimization:
The optimized view mode includes several usability improvements and it can also reduce story loading times in certain scenarios. For more information on this view mode, see Optimized Story Experience Restrictions.
To get the full benefit of optimized view mode, use SAP Analytics Cloud in a Google Chrome browser.
Viewer Settings: Stories usually open in Story View Mode but you can change it to open in Explorer instead.
-
Using the mobile application.
-
Using Mobile Safari in Embed mode.
-
Enable Explorer is not on for any chart or table.
Page Navigation: You can navigate story pages using a tab bar that shows each page as a tab, or using a drop list. The system administrator sets a default navigation option, but you can change it for your story.
-
Tab Bar: Show a separate tab for each story page.
-
Dropdown: A drop list of all your story pages.
Explorer Settings: Enable Explorer for all Charts and Tables overrides the state of any Enable Explorer settings that are already applied to charts and tables. However, it does not reset those settings. When you turn off the story-level setting, the charts and tables will go back to using the Enable Explorer setting.
Data Change Insights (Optimized Design Experience): You can enable this option to let viewers subscribe to top N data change insights in your story so that they can keep informed of data changes of specific charts on a regular basis.
Mobile Support for Canvas Pages (Optimized Design Experience): If there're mobile-friendly canvas pages designed in your story, you can enable them to be viewed on mobiles.
The option Enable mobile support for canvas pages is only available to story developers.
Bookmarks (Optimized Story Experience): You can choose whether to let viewers save last changed dynamic variable values to override model-level ones, or let them modify the variable behavior when they create bookmarks.
