Check Errors in Scripting

As an application designer or story developer, you can open the errors panel to view all the errors and warnings in your analytic application or optimized story and quickly locate them in your scripts.

Procedure

  1. Under Views in the toolbar, choose Show/Hide Info Panel.

    The Errors panel is displayed.

    Note

The number displayed by the button only indicates the number of errors, but not warnings. All the errors in the application or story are counted even if you set filters on them in the panel later.

  2. Find the error or warning you want to fix.
    • To filter the errors and warnings, you can enter the name of the corresponding widget in the box.

    • To display only errors or warnings, choose to the upper right corner of the panel, and select the corresponding options.

    • To expand or collapse all the displayed items, choose to the upper right corner of the panel, and select Expand All or Collapse All.

  3. Select any error or warning for details and further actions.

You can see the corresponding script with the error highlighted.

  4. Once an error or warning is fixed, it will no longer be displayed in the panel. After fixing all, choose Show/Hide Info Panel again from the toolbar or in the panel to close the Errors panel.
