Managing Stories

You can open, create, edit, and share Stories in the Stories side navigation. When you open a Story, it will open in View Mode by default. You can switch to edit mode by selecting the Edit button.

Create a New Story

You can create a new Story from the story side navigation. For more information, see Create a New Story.

Change the Name or Description of a Story

Do one of the following:
  • From the side navigation, select Files. Then select the check box for the story and select (Edit Details).

  • With a story open in Edit mode, choose Start of the navigation path(Edit Story) Next navigation step Story DetailsEnd of the navigation path.

Copy a Story

You can copy an entire story to a new story.

  1. From the side navigation, select Files.
  2. Find and select the story you want to copy and then select (Copy to).
  3. (Optional) Select the location for where you want to copy the story to (for example, a different private, public, or workspace folder).
    Tip

    If you want all users to have Read permission to your story, you can copy it to the Public folder. Also, if you want to make your story available to all users as a template, you can copy it to the Samples folder.

  4. Enter a unique name and an optional description for the story.
    Note

    Your story name can include valid alphanumeric characters and underscores. Spaces can be included but not at the start or end of a name.

Share Stories

You can share a story, and change the sharing settings. For more information, see Share Stories or Global Bookmarks.
Note

If the story you are sharing uses content from different workspaces or folders, you must also give (or request) access permission to those users so that they can access the content associated with the workspace or folders where the content is saved.
