Edit Filter Bar Settings (Optimized Story Experience)

When editing a story, you can change the default options for the story filter bar.

People who view an SAP Analytics Cloud story have the option to change the story filter bar to a filter panel. For more information, see Change the Filter Bar Orientation (Optimized Story Experience).

To show or hide the filter bar, from the navigation toolbar select Start of the navigation pathView Next navigation step Filter PanelEnd of the navigation path. (When the toolbar is expanded, the View menu is under More).

Change the Order of the Story Filters

You may want to rearrange the story filters to group similar filters together or to put the most important filters first.

Remember

Changing the order of the filters does not affect how they are applied. All the dimension filters are still taken into account when evaluating the condition on the measure or account.

  1. Open the filter panel.

  2. Expand the Filter Order section.

  3. In the Arrange Filters list, select Custom Order.

  4. Select a filter.

  5. Drag the filter to a new location in the list or use the arrow keys to move the filter:
    • Move to top

    • Move up

    • Move down

    • Move to bottom

The new order will show in the Filter bar or panel as you make the changes.

  6. When finished with the Filter Panel settings, choose Done.
