Show Dimension Totals in a Chart (Optimized Design Experience)
In SAP Analytics Cloud, you can show dimension totals for bar/column, stacked bar/column or marimekko charts.
You can enable totals for dimensions in several areas in the Builder panel:
- Dimensions
- Color
- Trellis
The totals can appear as either the first or last data point in your chart.
Note
If your SAP BW query has totals enabled, then totals will be enabled by default when using the query in SAP Analytics Cloud charts.

How to Show Totals as First Data Point in the Chart
By default in a new story, the totals data point is last in the chart. Use the following process to make it the first data point.

In the Builder, select a dimension.

In the Chart Properties section, find Arrange Totals.

In the drop down list, select First.
