Show Total Values (Optimized Story Experience)

In SAP Analytics Cloud, you can show or hide total values, or display the net total values in your stacked or Marimekko charts.

How to Show or Hide Total Values

You can show or hide total values for Stacked Bar/Column, Combination Stacked Column & Line, and Marimekko charts by doing the following:
  1. In Edit mode, open the chart context menu by doing one of the following:

    • Right-click your chart.

    • Select your chart and choose (More Actions).

  2. Select Start of the navigation pathShow/Hide Next navigation step TotalsEnd of the navigation path.

    Tip

    If you don't see the Show/Hide option in the first menu level, then select Start of the navigation pathMore Options Next navigation step Show/Hide Next navigation step TotalsEnd of the navigation path.

If there are positive and negative values for a bar in your chart, the totals of the positive values and negative values are displayed separately. For Stacked Bar/Column and Combination Stacked Column & Line charts, you can choose to display the net total values instead.

How to Show Net Total Values

Net total values are a summation of positive and negative values.

  1. Select your Stacked Bar/Column or Combination Stacked Column & Line chart.

  2. Open the Styling panel by selecting Start of the navigation path Next navigation step  Edit StylingEnd of the navigation path.

  3. Under the Labels section, select the Net Totals toggle.

How to Customize the Text Formatting for Total Values

  1. Open the Styling panel for your chart.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Select one of the total values displayed on your chart.

      Formatting options for total values will appear in the Styling panel.

    • Under the Fonts section of the Styling panel, select Totals in the Text Selection dropdown.

      You can now customize the font for your total values.
