Date Settings
The Date Settings section lets you fine-tune Date dimensions settings and enable the week granularity.
For model with measures, you can enable the week granularity using the dedicated Enable Week-Based Date Patterns toggle. You can then select the week pattern, the first day of the week, and the first week of the year. You can also decide whether your to display months as periods.
You can choose from two patterns: 445/454/544, or 13x4. With these patterns, data is stored data on weeks, and is then aggregated to months or quarters. To get more information on patterns, check out: Planning on Data on a Weekly Basis.
The Fiscal Time subsection lets you define Fiscal Time settings on your model.
If your business fiscal year isn't the same as the calendar year, switch Fiscal Year on, and then select the other parameters as follows:
- Choose the starting month of your fiscal year.
- Choose whether you denote your fiscal year by the calendar year when it starts, or the calendar year when it ends.
- Choose whether to display fiscal periods or calendar months in stories. For example, quarterly reports cover a fiscal period of three months, while annual reports cover a fiscal period of one year.
