Web Page

You can embed contents via the web page widget into your analytic application to combine your analytics with additional live, hosted contents.

The web page widget is used in both stories and analytic applications. Only the specifics for SAP Analytics Cloud, analytics designer are mentioned here. For more information about embedding and specifics for stories, refer to Adding an Embedded Web Page.

You can apply additional sandbox restrictions to allow for more activities from the embedded web page by selecting allow-downloads and allow-popups in the Builder panel.

You can embed web pages, stories and other analytic applications into your application via this widget. However, before embedding either web pages or SAP Analytics Cloud contents, consider potential issues such as:
  • Performance issues: Using embedding may slow down your application’s runtime performance.
  • Session logon issues: Sessions can’t be shared across web page widgets. For instance, application users may see SSO popups respectively from each web page widget that embeds stories with BW live data connection, even if these stories are bound to the same data source.
Restriction

Embedding other SAP Analytics Cloud contents into stories via the web page widget isn’t officially supported. This includes but not limited to other stories and analytic applications.
