About Advanced Mode (Optimized Story Experience)
In Optimized Story Experience, if you’re a story developer, who is assigned to the Application Creator role, you can now turn on or off Advanced Mode as you like to have different views for building your story. Advanced Mode lets you add custom logic to your story with more widgets, functionalities and scripting capabilities.
Advanced Mode in Optimized Story Experience integrates features from SAP Analytics Cloud, analytics designer, where you can create customized interactions and add custom logic with a variety of widgets, functionalities and scripting capabilities.
To use Advanced Mode, make sure that you've been assigned to the role Application Creator.
To switch on Advanced Mode, from View section in the toolbar, choose (Advanced Mode). To switch back, do in the same way. You're notified both when entering and exiting Advanced Mode.

Widgets to which scripts can be assigned:
- Button
- Filters and controls: Checkbox Group, Dropdown, Filter Line, List Box, Radio Button Group, Range Slider, Slider, Switch
- Text inputs: Input Field, Text Area
- Containers: Flow Layout Panel, Page Book, Tab Strip
